it cames out to around 1k/h, 100 points more than before.
Still using scythe with zealous to boost their energy gains.
It does have 1 extra degen on all (-7 instead of -6 from poison and suffering), but it does not seem to be overwhelming them. In fact, the disease spread faster than poison, and equally reduce their health, causing more spears to spawn simultaniously, and thus raising the overall income higher.
I assume farming Scythes with this method will probably net you 1100~1150/h, maybe even 1200/h.
I'll stick to experimenting with Spears tho

Any report on your test?

So... that whole part earlier in this thread about using landmarks and such to help body block is pretty much a farse? Just plain ol aggro will keep those spears situated where you want them? If so, I think things just got a whole lot easier...

I was wondering this too as I left my bow on Jin one time and just fired away. Of course the R/N with a scythe was for spreading the poison, but with disease and ranged weapons it makes sense to just set them up so your monk is far away from aggro and be good to go. No more "walls" needed.
I think I'll try and set it up (with three groups) sometime tonight when I get home from hockey game.

i haven't tried with the scythes and the whole body blocking thing. it just seemed too complicated to me so i tried doing my own way. and so far its worked out great. i can't leave the computer on for more than 4-5 hours at a time so i've had to set this up several times already and i've never had a problem setting it up again or had inconsistent results.

I'm pretty sure the update didn't do anything to this, think it mainly had to deal with the closed beta thing for china.

stop worrying. the update didn't do anything. what we should hope for is that the update this weekend for the Domain of Anguish doesn't nerf it.

You're putting your heroes too close together. If you stand between the two, they should just be on the edges of your aggro circle.

Shadows farm the slowest since they have the biggest heal. Scythes farm the fastest but tend to get a little too friendly with aggro circles and monks. Spears farm almost as quick, and are the easiest (and most stupid) to control.

I'll probably get flamed for this but I've been trying to read the 27 pages f this post to find the correct outpost to exit from, yes ive read the build on post #255.... but for the life of me the torment map is hard to read.
heres my question :
So is the outpost i map travel to named "gate of torment", then i exit the northwest portal, into nightfallen jahai then run to the third rez shrine (northeast) for the correct area to setup the afk?
edited::: HOLY c***polla, im gna flame myself... apparently my torment map was not complete. I checked wiki and re-read something that i had missed. "gate of nightfallen lands is the outpost itself. LOL sorry for the wasted space.

Is there something i dont understand about bonding... because when i bond the target ally using my hero he just shuts it off immediately.
edit :: I think i figured it out, you need to have the skills disabled for the bonds to stick.

Review this thread and notice that the maintained enchants are disabled.
You need to cast them yourself by clickin g the hero's skillbar.
Think this has been pointed out for, oh i dunno, bazzillion times.

That it may have, but its also been reported (and Ive seen it first hand) that occasionally the hero monk will not bond.. still not sure if this is a game issue, or just the way it is..

Just a note to those who whisper people(like me) about help for the AFK farming, PLEASE have Gate of Nightfallen Lands as an outpost before asking for help, along with the needed skills. I am happy to help everyone who whisper me, but i can also be busy. It's allright to whisper me at any time, but please understand that because i refuse to help you, when im busy, you dont have the right to be annoyed at me(You know how you are...).
I am usually able to answer your questions with a whisper, but not show you when i'm busy.
